Mary and Martha: Does my service glorify God (or me)?

Last week we studied the passage from Luke 10:38-42 regarding Mary and Martha. It was a personally challenging study for me. Here are the notes from the study.

Also, for those who are prepping for next study (11 June) on Mary Magdalene, here are the homework questions.

Enjoy!

The Samaritan Woman: True Worship

This last week we studied the Samaritan woman and Christ's response to her about true worship. Although this is certainly not an exhaustive look at worship, it was quite a thrill to whet the appetite of true worship and when, who, and what that involves. Here are the notes for this week as well as the homework preparation for the next study on Mary and Martha (a continuation of worship and its practical outworkings in service).

Mary: Heart, Soul, and Mind

We started the second term of our study of various women in the Bible. Our first study was on the mother of Christ--Mary. Here are the notes.

The Heart of Hannah

Last week in Heart and Soul, we studied Hannah from 1 Samuel. This was a personally encouraging and challenging study. God's Word is sufficient and full of grace and does not return void! Leading this study has been a huge blessing in my own walk with my Saviour and the study of Hannah was wonderful in its challenge of my own heart. Here is the study notes.

Studying Rahab

I have been greatly blessed, encouraged, and sharpened by the woman who I have been leading the study with. She is a godly, wise, and sweet woman of faith who has been a great friend to me and personal encouragement. I am very thankful for her. She has been willingly serving alongside me and has been a great tool in God's moulding of me into His likeness.

On 2 April, she led the study of the life of Rahab. We learned how God is powerful to redeem the vilest of sinners by His wonderful grace to bring Him glory and accomplish His purposes. Here are the notes to the study.

Studying Ruth

For our women's Bible Study, going through women of the Bible, we will be skipping Ruth as it was recently taught just last year (4th term). However, the links to that study can be found here.
This was a great study led by Joe Fleener (of course, I am probably biased...!).

Enjoy!
